Maintaining contacts (internal and external) on all quality related activities during product development, product release, production start, series production and after care.

Description of work:

• Carry out product and process audit at various suppliers in China.

• Technical assess and approve samples of purchased components for boilers.
• Follow up and investigation of quality complaints of existing components.
• Monitoring quality level in assembly workshop of subcontractor.
• Start up and monitor various improvement actions at suppliers.
• Give input and advise regarding supplier selection.
• Solve technical problems in cooperation with BDR Thermea technical departments.
• Instruction and implementation of quality systems (AQP/PPAP).
• Optimise packaging in dialogue with supplier.
• Translation of documents and discussions Chinese – English v.v.
• Communicate all relevant information with BDR Thermea.

Requirements:

• University degree in (Quality) engineering.
• A technical background, preferably knowledge on both electronics and mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3+ year’s professional experience with Quality systems such as ISO9000 and/or QS9000, TS16949 and should be able to familiarize him/herself quickly with the quality requirements and procedures of Remeha.
• Be able to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with project management.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Strong communicator, persuasive, flexible and able to work in ever-changing circumstances.
• Independent, self motivated attitude and organized work approach.
• Must be willing and able to travel (international).

Responsibility:

The Quality engineer will report directly for the Quality Manager – BDR Thermea Shanghai, who will determine the priorities and objectives according to the department’s objectives.  The Quality Engineer is expected to always act professionally and in accordance with company policy, as the face of the BDR Thermea business in Asia the Quality Engineer will need to ensure good communication and relationships with both suppliers and customers.
